Our RECO Storage tanks are designed for storing potable water. They are carbon steel vessels with an interior lining to prevent corrosion at higher temperatures. This is a more economical approach than using a higher-grade alloy, such as stainless steel or Cu-Ni, without a lining.

Key Features and Benefits

We use NSF Standard 61 certified cement lining that was specifically developed to protect steel surfaces from the corrosive effects of hard or soft water at higher temperatures. It provides excellent protection and is fully field repairable. We avoid glass linings, as they require a sacrificial anode for corrosion protection and must be handled with extreme care as they are very fragile and not field repairable.

All reco storage tanks  are available in vertical and horizontal configurations with storage capacities up to 35,000 gallons. Each reco storage tank includes separate connections for a relief valve, temperature sensor, spare instrumentation, and drain as standard. A 12″ x 16″ manway is included with each tank as well.

Optional connections, coatings, and exterior tank insulation are also available. For hot water storage tanks, exterior insulation is a cost-effective way to reduce energy consumption while maintaining the desired temperature with minimal heat losses.
