Thermal Energy Storage Tanks (TES)

Smart Energy Storage For Cooling And Heating Systems

RECO Commercial Systems Thermal Energy Storage Tanks store thermal energy in chilled water cooling systems and building heating systems.  By storing thermal energy for later use, TES tanks help manage cooling or heating loads while minimizing energy costs. They store water chilled or heated during low-rate hours for use during peak demand periods. As a backup support, TES tanks also enhance the resilience of heating and cooling systems against power outages.

Design

RECO Commercial Systems’ thermal energy storage tanks can be engineered to meet various heating or cooling requirements.

We build energy storage vessels for capacities up to 50,000 gallons. Our TES tanks include custom internal diffusers which are engineered to meet specific thermal energy requirements.

Our engineering team employs computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis to simulate fluid and heat flow to optimize the physical design of the vessel (including internal baffles, diffusers and manifolds). This ensures the fluid stratification will meet system requirements.

Installed in a system, the Reco Thermal Energy Storage Tank is guaranteed to support a facility’s energy management needs.
