Specialty Fabrications & Repairs

Specialty Fabrications

Along with ASME Code vessels and heating products, we are a regular supplier of complex fabrications for a variety of applications and industries.

All of these are done per our ASME Section VIII Quality Control Program. Starting with a design review, and progressing to material purchasing, material receipt and inspection, fabrication, and then shipping, we strive to meet all customer expectations with every piece we build. We use visual inspecting, NDE, and analytical testing and inspection during the throughout the progression of the project. Detailed QC records are maintained, and become a permanent part of the job file.

We are frequently hosting customers and/or their inspectors to witness inspections and our production. And while all of the pressure vessels we produce are done to pre-approved drawings, purchase orders, and specifications, no two projects are identical. We assure that all relevant documentation is settled on in the kick off meeting, and there is alignment on all the applicable vendor data reports (i.e., inspection and test plan, data sheets, approved drawings, vessel calculation sheets, material test reports, welding specification procedures, procedure qualification records, painting and crating procedures, etc.)

RECO USA’s capabilities include extensive repairs and/or modifications to pressure vessels. Our work can be done per ASME, API, or and engineering specifications provided to us. Some of the more common repairs we do include:

  • Adding or relocating connections
  • Adding insulating jackets
  • Replacing roofs, shells, and bottoms

For any repair we will assign a dedicated project manager to work closely with our customer and to serve as the single point of contact for the project. The project manager has overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, engineering design, submittal approval, shop fabrication, quality monitoring, scope compliance, and, ultimately, customer satisfaction for the repair being made.

We also modify tanks to suit different field conditions on a regular basis. Changes in a tank’s use, capacity requirements, or process conditions frequently occur, and when they do, we can re-purpose a tank to those new conditions. Some of the more common tank modifications we have done are:

  • Modifying tank capacity
  • Reconfiguring supports
  • Adding instrumentation
